BlackBerry in partnership with TCL reveals latest phone for 2017

Writers over at androidcentral got a hands on look at the last hurrah from BlackBerry. The BlackBerry branded, TCL produced, Mercury is a phone that continues the design DNA that made the company famous for. It includes a signature physical keyboard built below the screen. It is not what the BlackBerry Priv had with a sliding keyboard that was hidden behind the screen. Unfortunately it causes the screen to be smaller in size but most BlackBerry fans will welcome the change in design. The rumored phone has been revealed at CES 2017 but the company did not reveal any further specifications. Only information seen in the article is the prototype itself and confirmation that Android Nougat software is preloaded. However, the phone does contain a headphone jack and a USB-C port. Androidcentral writer Andrew Martonik states that TCL will reveal more information of ‘Mercury’ nearing Mobile World Congress scheduled for February 27.
