2G is one step closer at slowly meeting its demise

On January 1st, AT&T, one of the big four carrier companies have finally shut down their services regarding their 2G network. It appears that it was a necessity to relieve 2G of its duty. AT&T is planning on having 5G to become available in a few years. However, Pocketnow states from their article AT&T will be focusing on LTE and 5G with the vacant spectrum.

Maybe in the next couple of years as 5G slowly kicks off, we as well see 3G becoming discontinued as 5G promises an incredible amount of speed. It promises to see wider bandwidth usage as more technology become connected to the internet. It is said that the speeds is designed to reach 20 Gbps with a 1 ms latency. As 4G LTE is only capable to reach 100 Mbps in its design. So we look forward to see 5G coming around 2020 as everyone will enjoy incredibly fast internet speed for the new generation of technology.
