The time has come for Samsung to shine bright by updating their latest handsets to the Android Nougat. However, the latest version of Android is 7.1, these updates will only move it to 7.0 sacrificing the improved features that 7.1 contains. Although it is acceptable for the moment as the new update brings improvement on the UI itself.
- Quick Panel has been modified in its form that simplifies with the removal of the icons’ tiles
- Notifications have been simplified to provide more power to Direct Reply for the support applications.
- Nougat supports Multi-Window, while Samsung was years ahead in the game. There have been tweaks to support Samsung’s take on the feature.
- Note 7 contained a special feature known as Performance Mode, it is now available on the S7 and S7 Edge handset. This allows the phone to perform better in different conditions the user demands.
- Samsung Pass uses the fingerprint authenticator allowing quick logins through Samsung’s Internet application or support applications.
Quick note, as a personal Samsung S7 owner from T-Mobile. The carrier itself is yet to release the new update. There is no indication that we shall receive it anytime soon. However, I personally can’t wait to try it out.
