We may hear more of last year’s Snapdragon 821 taking center stage for most of early 2017 smartphones. Samsung has been given an advantage through manufacturing Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 chips to use the initial supply for their upcoming devices. Once released, other device manufacturers may use the rest of Qualcomm’s supply, if any, for their devices.
LG is rumored of their G6 device to run with the new features of In-Touch and non-modular design while sporting 821 as their processor. Fortunately, LG has gone through a similar disadvantage in the past and have found ways to make do with available supplies. The 821 was a slight increase in performance over the Snapdragon 820. LG V20 and Google Pixel have received rave reviews for their performance and we should not worry over Samsung’s hoard of supplies.
We shall see for more information on what LG plans on using for their G6 and other 2017 lineup.
