First Vehicle with Stand-alone Google Auto Debut under Volvo

In a press announcement from car manufacturer Volvo, they revealed information of their upcoming electric car. Polestar 2 is the brand’s first fully-electric car with a range of 300 miles with a 400 HP engine. Google’s Android Auto currently requires a cellular phone connected to the vehicle to allow it to run. Fortunately, Google is developing the ability to remove that requirement. There is a possible expansion of the software to allow more tasks on a hands-free environment when driving. Allowing more features of the vehicle to be controlled in Android Auto such as, temperature, driving mode, etc. Regarding Volvo’s Polestar 2, there will be further information coming over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to drive the car until full production begins in 2020.
