EA’s Open World Star Wars Game Is Cancelled

It’s now official, after Amy Henning left Visceral and the studio itself was shuttered. It was only a matter of time before EA decided to pull the plug. At the time, the project was moved to EA Motive. They were working with Visceral at the time when they were lead developer. However, the project itself went through several changes from the original vision of Henning’s.

Fortunately, a report from Kotaku indicates that EA Vancouver might have the next Star Wars game. It may be years away till we finally get another Star Wars game from EA’s three game inventory. There is the Respawn project, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that is due out this year. Hopefully that can quench our thirst of a good Star Wars game.
