Samsung Announces the S10 Line-up

Today at their annual Unpacked event prior to MWC. Samsung announced the new S10 lineup devices. A total of five devices were unveiled, S10e, S10, S10+, S10 5G and Galaxy Fold. Each device comes equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 for US customers and overseas is the Exynos 9820. The Samsung Galaxy S10e doesn’t come equipped with in-screen fingerprint reader but on the side of the body instead. The Galaxy S10 and S10+ uses Samsung’s Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader that quickly detects your finger from the screen. The minimum storage that Samsung has set for the devices is a modest 128 GB with the option to install an SD card for additional storage up to 512 GB. Screens of each display comes to 5.8″, 6.1″ and 6.4″ respectively. Pricing of the devices comes $750, $900, $1000 respectively at their starting configuration. Currently for pre-orders, Samsung is offering their new Samsung Buds that challenges Apple’s Airpods as a bundle for a S10 device. Release information on the 5G version of the S10 is set to arrive to Verizon first in the first half of 2019. The device comes with added battery power and larger screen set to 6.7″. It doesn’t come with expanded storage or second SIM card space and is set to 256 GB of internal storage. It will arrive to other carriers shortly after Verizon and pricing isn’t looking good for any of the devices. Ultra premium pricing at $1,000+ is standard for what you get.

Information on the release of the Galaxy Fold is set for the second quarter of 2019. With a suggested pricing at $1,980 USD. Coming with the primary 4.7″ screen and when folded out that reveals a 7.3″ display. For this device, the added screen space allowed Samsung to enable users to multi-task up to three applications at once. The device comes with six cameras, three in the back, two on the inside and one on the cover.
