After several review units have been experiencing quality issues with the display. Samsung wasn’t deterred to put off the launch of their latest device. However, things appeared grim as Samsung cancelled two China launch events and remained firm. Until today, when the company was reported by The Wall Street Journal as delayed by several weeks. However, the Verge received word later today that it’ll be indefinitely until the company solves the quality issues plaguing the device’s displays.

PSA: There's a layer that appears to be a screen protector on the Galaxy Fold's display. It's NOT a screen protector. Do NOT remove it.

I got this far peeling it off before the display spazzed and blacked out. Started over with a replacement. pic.twitter.com/ZhEG2Bqulr
The expensive Galaxy Fold device suffering these kinds of issues so close to launch and the company only until then admitting to their mistakes is not the right way to go. Samsung has been pushing for a positive image of their brand after failures of their Note 7’s. Hopefully these problems are fixed swiftly and somehow compensate pre-order buyers. Remember, the devices are priced at $1,980 USD. Quite expensive for a fresh tech device that’ll compete with Huawei’s folding phone too. Their quality is even better and more flush so far in comparison.
