Today, Firefox users have been noticing that their extensions aren’t working. The moment when they stopped working was when the clock turned on UTC (or GMT, Greenwich Mean Time). A certificate that the browser uses had expired.
So sorry for the issue we’re having with add-ons right now!

Product Lead Kev Needham’s statement to Engadget
Temporary Fix:
Fortunately, there is a workaround but only for users of Firefox Developer or a Nightly build. Going to “about:config” and set “xpinstall.signatures.required” to false. This will allow your extensions to continue working again.
