Pokemon Detective Pikachu Review

Today, Pokemon Detective Pikachu has been released to movie theaters. The long-running Pokemon series comes to life. Set in Ryme City where humans and Pokemon exist, the hero is Tim Goodman played by Justice Smith. A young man whose detective father had recently died from a car accident. Tim encounters Pikachu, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, at his father’s apartment who lost his memory from the accident. Hesitant at first, they set out to uncover the mystery with intern reporter Lucy Stevens, played by Kathryn Newtown and her Psyduck Pokemon. A distant lab has been experimenting with Pokemon evolution using an ancient Mew genes. Having created Mewtwo who escapes. Villain Roger Clifford, played by Chris Geere, demands its capture. The mystery is uncovered further as Mewtow wrecks havoc during a Pokemon parade in Ryme City. The truth of the conspiracy is revealed during the chaos. Pokemon Detective Pikachu is an enjoyable family-friendly film but has several expected twists.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
