Godzilla: King of the Monster Review

With a new installment in the MonsterVerse franchise. Godzilla: King of the Monsters opens today, bringing the crazy Kaiju action with higher stakes. We have drama added into the mix with the likes of Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga who play Mark and Emma Russell. Creating a device that allows humans to communicate primitively with the Titan monsters. That device and Emma are taken by a terrorist organization led by Alan Jonah played by Charles Dance. Believing a restoration of the natural order after humans have wrecked havoc through pollution and destruction. Monarch, the crypto organization teams up with Mark to retrieve Emma and their daughter Madison, played by Millie Bobby Brown. We have familiar faces from both Godzilla and Kong reprise their roles. “Monster Zero” or as Kaiju fans know it as King Ghidorah plays as a counter against Godzilla. As we learn more about the lore behind the monsters and Monarch. The fighting and destruction of the Titans is a great treat for those who want simplicity. The human drama in the film suffers as it feels spoon-feed to give a break from the Titan fighting.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
