However, Apple isn’t pulling any punches to the new Mac Pro. Having the latest and powerful hardware inside the efficiently-cooled aluminum design. It has the ability to be upgradeable in certain parts with easy to remove case. Packing in a range of 8 to 28 core Intel Xeon Processor with hyper-threading that’ll double it to 56 cores. That is insane. Apple states that those processors will have 300 Watts to power through whatever the user wants it to. Plus, it has an efficient and quiet CPU cooler that’ll keep it pacing on tasks.

Apple states that the new Mac Pro is capable of using up to 1 and a half Terabyte of system memory. Which is great for heavy users in simulation and data fields. Having 12 DIMM slots to use a six channel configuration of ECC memory. Now for those that would like upgrade their Mac Pro. It comes with 8 PCI-Express expansion slots. Having four double-wide slots for a quad GPU configuration if you desire. Unfortunately, Apple has it locked down for their AMD configuration using the Pro Vega II Duo that has plenty of power. That leaves space for the petite such as one half-length slot and three single slots.

On top of those, Apple added in Afterburner which helps video editors in quick performance. Having the ability to process video to stream up to 3 sets of 8K ProRes RAW, 12 sets of 4K ProRes RAW or 16 sets of 4K ProRES 422 footage. This is insanely helpful as it leaves more power to focus on the creation and less on having your footage be playable.

In terms of storage, Apple has it all flash or nothing. Which helps because their speeds are incredibly fast. Coming in configurations with base range of 256 GB to 1 TB till 4 TB of space. Furthermore, their I/O has four Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-A ports and two Ethernet ports.

Availabity will be coming soon, and pricing starts at $5,999.
