Child’s Play Review

The remake of the classic Child’s Play has released today. Being produced by Orion Pictures and directed by Lars Klevberg. It stars Aubrey Plaza and Gabriel Bateman as the mother and son duo, Karen and Andy Barclay. Having recently moved to Chicago, Illinois where Karen works at Zed-mart. Kaslan Industries has been selling their popular Buddi dolls with an anticipated version 2 coming soon. Karen takes home a used Buddi doll after the previous owner complained that it had red-eyes and glitched. Where we saw earlier in Vietnam of a suicidal employee who had removed a random doll’s security failsafes. We only know where this could go, shocking. Karen gives Andy the doll and they quickly bond together. However, Chuck voiced by Mark Hamill, who decided to name itself as becomes incredibly clingy to Andy. Observing the environment around Andy, Chucky tries to make Andy happy by killing the family cat and cheating Shane. Andy and company decide that they need to take Chucky out before things get worse. The apartment handy-man Gabriel finds Chucky in the dumpster and tries to sell it by repairing Chucky. Who later kills him and becomes a neighbor’s Buddi doll. Andy sees through this and tries to convince his friends and family that Chucky is evil. The climax results at the Zed-mart with Buddi 2 becoming available for sale. Through the use of modern technology, Chucky takes control of Kaslan products to kill numerous people. Before taking Karen as hostage, and tries to lure Andy into his trap. Andy manages to defeat Chucky only for it to live through another potential sequel. Child’s Play is a fun remake of the original with a modern take. It takes out the supernatural elements that was behind the original and goes through artificial intelligence as the plot device behind Chucky.

It earns a 4 out of 5.
