Last month, AMD announced their newest graphics cards. During that time, the Radeon 5700 XT was listed at $450 and the Radeon 5700 at $380. However, the industry is competitive and with nVidia having announced their latest Super line-up. Effectively replacing the less RTX cards from nVidia. It would only make sense that nVidia won by having superior low-priced graphics cards. AMD announced today a reduction in pricing from the 5700 series.
Radeon 5700 XT is now listed as $400 and Radeon 5700 is now $350. While the 50th Anniversary Editon 5700 XT was originally listed as $500. It is now $450. There isn’t word about pre-orders being refunded the price difference. It would make sense that AMD would honor the dedication for those orders to have a portion returned.
With these new changes being made, what would you purchase this year for your upgrade? According to The Verge at the $400 price level, both Radeon 5700 XT and 2060 Super are head-to-head. With the $500 RTX 2070 Super on its own field. Pretty much this fight is at the budget level based on what you need.
