Apple Nixes Macbook And Slashes Prices

As part of their Back-To-School promotion, Apple announces several changes. First being their MacBook Air line-up has been updated to include their True Tone tech. They lowered the price for the entry-level model to $1,099 and for college student set at $999. The next change was for the MacBook Pro 13-inch model in both hardware and pricing. Now featuring Touch Bar with Touch ID, the True Tone display as well as T2 Security Chip. The price for the model is $1,299 and hundred dollars less for college students at $1,199.

With the promotion also came changes with Apple eliminating the MacBook model. Which was their 12-inch lean and mean laptop that made the MacBook Air an awkward alternative. With the elimination and price changes, MacBook Air is a great choice for those that would like power and portability. However, the price difference between the Air and Pro is just $200. With the 13-inch coming with Touch Bar and Touch ID, T2 Security Chip and a little more power, it isn’t much.
