As Dave Bautista expands his acting chops, we land onto Stuber as he plays Victor whose a police detective. Directed by Michael Dowse whose titular character Stu is played by Kumail Nanjiani. Both characters’ paths cross when Vic requests an Uber after receiving a tip on a case he’s been feverishly working on. Stu picks him up and tries his best to maintain a five-star rating through the ridiculously twists and turns Vic puts him through. Each of the leads go through their character arc as their chemistry to support one another shines through the film. It is a great comedy film albeit easily dated jokes with a great promotion to Uber’s services. With a run-time of 93 minutes, Stuber is a great film to watch this weekend.
It earns a 4 out of 5.
