Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Review

Once Upon A Time In…. Hollywood is a homage to the late 60’s. Being directed by Quentin Tarantino there are quiet of few things to be expected. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton and Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth. Both are in the movie industry as Rick Dalton tends to have villainous roles while Cliff acts as his exclusive stunt double. They have great chemistry in the film and their performance helps reflect the era as it comes to life. With the various set pieces of old Los Angeles that Tarantino’s set design team tried to keep the authenticity. It held great. The main antagonist of the film was Charles Manson and his cult followers. As he sends them to conduct the high-profile murder in Hollywood of a pregnant Sharon Tate. Things take a detour as Rick and Cliff become the targets as they live right next door to her. The film is an enjoyable watch for those that want to reminisce the bygone era as well as see a Tarantino movie. The film leaves off in a happy ending but feels like the story could’ve been improved.

It earns a 4 out of 5.
