Google releases the newest version of Android. Beginning with this version, Google has done away with the dessert names that came with previous versions. Android 10 is the one and only name, with that comes new features. Some fresh and others long awaited. Such as:
- Native Gestures
- Security with stricter permissions
- Privacy Controls
- Improve Notification Controls
- Focus Mode
- Dark Mode
- and more…
Google’s Pixel phones receive the update today, of course. Old Nexus devices are no longer supported so it’ll be a great time to upgrade with the new Pixel devices being announced. Other devices will soon follow as their manufacturers prep their devices, very few will receive them. Google has been pushing manufacturers to provide device owners to have at least two major Android updates for their lifetime. Essential and Xiaomi are two manufacturers that updated their own devices, but only a few select.
