Terminator Dark Fate Review

This weekend, Terminator Dark Fate is released in North American theaters after being first released in the outside markets. It brings a return of James Cameron and Linda Hamilton back to the iconic franchise. After several films continuing the story from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The rights returned to James Cameron and a desire to correct the series resulted in the latest Terminator film. Starring Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis and Gabriel Luna as Dani Ramos, Grace and Rev-9 as fresh faces to the franchise. The future that Sarah and John Connor saved and altered from Terminator 2 resulted in a new future. One that is far deadlier and advanced than the old timeline. With a brand new AI replacing Skynet that sends a Rev-9 Terminator to kill Dani Ramos who is now the new resistance leader. Grace is tasked to protect Dani at all costs despite it appearing as a losing scenario with the Rev-9 being nearly indestructible. Tim Miller, the director for the film, keeps the Rev-9 threat in the minds of the audience at all times. Bringing a great mixture of thriller and non-stop action. Despite having Arnold Schwarzenegger as a T-800 Terminator, Grace who is an augmented human soldier and Sarah Connor. Their combined desperate efforts leads the audiences to believe a potential defeat and the loss of Dani. Terminator Dark Fate will have controversy in its decisions regarding the new changes but its a great return to the franchise.

It earns a 4 out of 5.
