Ford v Ferrari Review

Released this week, Ford v Ferrari is a sports drama film. Starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon as Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby. The two are tasked by Ford Motor Company to develop a racing vehicle that’ll beat Ferrari in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We see the company culture of Ford intrude in Shelby’s plans on beating Ferrari. As the company is worried about Ken Miles and his reputation on playing well in the company’s image. Wanting him removed from driving their Ford GT40. This decision strains Shelby’s and Miles’ friendship and it becomes apparent when Ford loses at the 1964 Le Mans. Shelby convinces Henry Ford II played by Tracy Letts to allow Miles to prove himself at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Which he does, and Shelby’s team heads to Le Mans with Miles. The film’s drama and action is constant throughout the film and becomes important during the climax at Le Mans. Matt Damon and Christian Bale worked great together and their performances keeps you at the edge of your seat. Ford v Ferrari is a great film for racing enthusiasts and drama fanatics.

It earns a 4 out of 5.
