My Hero Academia ‘Vestiges’ Review

Released this week, episode 90 of My Hero Academia premiered titled ‘Vestiges.’ We continue learning more behind Endeavor and Hawks’ fight against the Nomu that nearly killed them. Dabi appears with the heroes wanting to take him out but he only wants to retrieve the Nomu that was destroyed. Turns out Hawks is a double agent for the heroes and League of Villains. Furthermore, Hawks has always been a fan of Endeavor with a flashback of him saving victims from a car crash. Endeavor arrives at his home with his children waiting to eat, however tensions rise from past trauma. Natsuo refuses to be in the presence of his father believing the past can’t be changed even if their mother and his sister wants to forgive Enji (Endeavor). Though Shoto admits that things can change, depending on where things go at that point. Giving Enji inspiration to confront Natuso who went outside the home and repair their relationship. Back at the Academy, Midoriya had completed physical training and is completely exhausted. Knocking out on his bed, he has a flashback involving ‘One for All’ power. The first person with the power shows the history between his power and his brother’s ‘All for One’ power. The flashback ends with Midoriya’s dorm window shattering when in his dream, made contact with the first user. ‘Vestiges’ continues the mystery for this season and overall storyline of Midoriya.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
