Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Replacements’ Review

Released this week, episode 3 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Replacements.’ We’re happy to see Clone Force 99 plus Omega safely escape Saleucami with their shuttle partly damaged. Echo attempts to fix each new problem that appears while Tech focuses on a scanner that’ll find their inhibitor chips. Unfortunately, their trip takes a detour onto a moon as an Ordo Moon Dragon steals a capacitor from the ship. Wrecker is injured in the crash and takes most of the episode off as Hunter and Omega search for the alien and ship part. Back at Kamino, Admiral Rampart is introduced as well as his first group of elite enlisted troopers. They’ll be under the command of Crosshair as Tarkin sends the squad back to Onderon to finish what Clone Force 99 couldn’t. The skirmish is brutal as the Imperial troopers carry it with ease minus one enlisted who is promptly killed by Crosshair. However, the performance enlightens Tarkin to bring in more enlisted that’ll be trained by the clones as their replacements. As the episode’s title suggests, we continue to see the transformation of the new Empire and the journey of Clone Force 99 as they try to seek safe refuge. Adding in, Clone Force 99 are hoping to figure out their mysterious inhibitor chips and potentially recover Crosshair.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
