Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Rampage’ Review

Released this week, episode 5 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Rampage.’ The episode leads the Bad Batch onto Ord Mantell from the suggestion of Echo as they seek an informant. Cid helped the Jedi when they were still alive but is now looking for ways to make money. She tells the Bad Batch about rescuing someone named Muchi and if they’re successful she’ll gather intel for them regarding Omega’s bounty. When they arrive at the location, they’re quickly overwhelmed and captured but luckily Hunter told Omega to stay behind. She manages to sneak and distract the slavers and unleashes a captured adolescent rancor. It turns out to be Muchi herself and hell breaks loose. Once the slavers are subdued, Wrecker wrestles with Muchi to become the Alpha but the two end up tiring themselves out. By episode’s end, we learn Muchi belongs to Jabba the Hutt and Fennec Shand is quite a dangerous bounty hunter which surprises Cid. She tells Hunter that someone like Shand means the Bad Batch has a big price on them as she sarcastically says she can keep secrets. ‘Rampage’ is a fun episode as we continue the journey of Clone Force 99.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
