Released this week, episode 98 of My Hero Academia premiered titled ‘That Which Is Inherited.’ The final match has arrived and Midoriya races to grab the attention of Class 1-B’s fifth team. While his teammates, Uraraka, Mineta and Ashido are behind keeping an eye on him and the others. However, the fifth team for Class 1-B have learned the lesson from the previous match. Where they not only should be wary of Midoriya but the other three as they can make a dangerous combination. Monoma engages with Midoriya while Shinso hides nearby. Shoda, Yanagi and Kodai attack the other Class 1-A teammates with their powers. Unfortunately, Midoriya begins to lose control of his powers when Daigoro Banjo’s blackwhip powers manifest from One for All. Creating utter destruction around him as Shinso’s hiding spot gets demolished. Uraraka races to Midoriya, hugging him and begging Shinso to brainwash Midoriya to see if it’ll stop the destruction. In Midoriya’s head, Banjo tells him to control this new power is through his heart because using in anger will have consequences. Back in reality, blackwhip has been reigned in and the match continues. ‘That Which Is Inherited’ is a fun episode as we saw the build-up over several episodes. Will Class 1-A reign supreme or will it end in a tie between the two?
It earns a 3 out of 5.
