Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Decommissioned’ Review

Released this week, episode 6 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Decommissioned.’ Cid gives Clone Force 99 another mercenary mission to retrieve a tactical droid worth everyone’s time. Heading over to Corellia where many of the former Separatist droid army is being melted down. The squad infiltrates the facility where they remain in stealth until an unexpected second party is also after a tactical droid. The two groups are spotted by the industrial workers and put the facility in lockdown. Security droids swarm the facility as we learn the second party is Rafa and Trace Martez (first seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars final season). The situation forces them to work together to get the lockdown lifted and escape from the facility with the only remaining tactical droid there. There was a brief scene in which Wrecker who continues to suffer from a head injury that shows signs of his implant chip struggling to control him through Order 66. In the end, the tactical droid is destroyed but Tech managed to export data that was original in it. Hunter gives the data to Rafa who revealed that her employer is using it to fight against the Empire. We are then left hanging as a unrecognizable hologram is informed by Rafa of the data and of the Bad Batch’s location. ‘Decommissioned’ continues the journey of the Bad Batch as they slowly learn and adjust to their new environment.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
