Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Reunion’ Review

Released this week, episode 8 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Reunion.’ We begin with Clone Force 99 still at Bracca and the Empire is now aware of their presence. Admiral Rampart dispatches Crosshair and his group to intercept before the Bad Batch manages to escape. The rogue troopers unaware of coming threat, salvage anything valuable in the ship before they decide to depart. Tech has Omega help him start up the ship’s power which turns on the proximity sensor that detects the Imperial forces. The Bad Batch readies themselves as they attempt to escape undetected. Unfortunately, Crosshair knows his former comrades and corners them. A fight occurs and all throughout the ship. Both sides have a tipping point of either close to escape or capture. By episode’s end, it looks like the Bad Batch is victorious as Hunter brings Omega to check up on the ship. It was previously surrounded by Imperial forces that have since been dispatched by a bounty hunter sent by the Kaminoians. None other than Cad Bane, he easily bests Hunter who appears to be gravely injured as Omega is acquired. ‘Reunion’ continues the momentum as the series is dark but thrilling as ever and we cheer on the Bad Batch. Will Hunter recuperate fast enough to lead his team to follow Bane’s trail before Omega is lost for good?

It earns a 4 out of 5.
