Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Return To Kamino’ Review

Released this week, episode 15 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Return to Kamino.’ We continue with Hunter and Crosshair having their conversation. Crosshair leaves Hunter’s comms on for the rest of the Bad Batch to track them as they head over to Kamino. The Bad Batch arrive to Kamino outside of Tipoca City’s range and enter through a secret landing pad. That leads to Nala Se’s lab and Omega points out that it is where all of the Bad Batch were created. Moving on ahead, the Bad Batch follows Hunter’s signal which leads them below the training facility. The three leave Omega behind with AZI-3 and are lifted up to the facility. The trap laid by Crosshair forces the three to lay down their weapons. Hunter continues to plead Crosshair about the Empire’s undoing of the clones and the Republic and to join their side. Crosshair tells Hunter that he wished that he got a chance and is willing to give him one, which gives off anxiety to other Imperial soldiers present. Those soldiers refuse to lay down their weapon and are prepared to kill the Bad Batch which forces Crosshair to fire his pistol onto carefully laid mirrors around them that hits all of the Imperial soldiers. The group reunites and fight to survive the onslaught of training droids attacking them. Elsewhere, Admiral Rampart gets word from a surviving Imperial soldier about the incident and orders his fleet to open fire on Tipoca City. The former clone facility that has now become vacant except for the Bad Batch. ‘Return to Kamino’ is the first part of season 1’s finale as it brings the series to a full circle. Pretty much where it started off and now leaving us on a cliffhanger till the next part.

It earns a 4 out of 5.
