Star Wars: The Bad Batch ‘Kamino Lost’ Review

Released this week, episode 16 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered titled ‘Kamino Lost.’ The final episode for the first season of the series, we continue immediately after Admiral Rampart orders Tipoca City to burn in flames. The Bad Batch and Crosshair travel through the submerged city as it slowly starts to crack under the intense pressure of the ocean. AZI-3 and Omega lead the squad through various detours in order to return to Nala Se’s lab that would lead them back to the Marauder. Unfortunately, the tunnel is collapsed and they’re forced to swim towards the Marauder. AZI-3 is running low on his batteries and becomes collateral that Omega doesn’t want to let go. Risking her life to rescue him until Crosshair fires a tether to AZI-3’s body to pull them both to the surface. He continues to push his Imperial ideology to the group and ignores Hunter’s pleas to join their side. In the end, the two sides go on their separate ways. We are then shown Nala Se arriving to sprawling green planet where she’s greeted by an Imperial scientist. Telling her that she’s going to be extremely useful to the Empire’s plans going forward. ‘Kamino Lost’ concludes the first season however, it feels more of a continuation that’ll expand into the next season. Will Crosshair ever return to the Bad Batch as a fledging member or remain their potentially lethal rival? Heck, will the Empire allow him to return due to his incompetence after a squad member of his told Admiral Rampart regarding the failed ambush on Tipoca City? More questions than answers for the first season is for sure.

It earns a 3 out of 5.
