Released this week, episode 77 of Attack on Titan premiered titled ‘Sneak Attack.’ We continue in the jail cells where Onyankopon released Armin, Mikasa and the rest. They decide to join in helping Zeke and Eren unite to give Paradis their desired 50 years of buildup. By unleashing the Rumbling to prove their might against the world. Outside, the Marleyean forces are winning the fight with Eren struggling to keep Reiner and Galliard at bay. The tides turn as Zeke arrives, destroying the airships above and striking on the Marleyean forces below. Eren’s Attack Titan starts limping towards Zeke’s position at the wall. Reiner and Galliard are struck by Zeke’s artillery barrage several times. Elsewhere, the prisoners that refused to side with the Jaegerists and sipped Zeke’s spinal fluid are released. Falco and Nile search through the battlefield in hopes of finding Gabi or even Falco’s brother Colt which they do. The three, Falco, Gabi and Colt hide among the wreckage of the town to figure out a plan for their safety. Falco reveals that he accidentally ingested Zeke’s spinal fluid after being struck by Nicolo with a wine bottle. They believe alerting Zeke that he were to scream would cause Falco to turn into a titan. Back to the main battle, Zeke and Eren are nearing victory as Pieck’s titan is seen as having been defeated by Jaegerists in ODM gear. However it’s revealed to be a trap, several Marleyean soldiers kill Jaegerists while General Magath uses the surprise to fire a shot at Zeke’s nape. Causing Zeke to collapse several meters to the ground, shocking Eren as things go haywire. However, General Magath comments to Pieck that they needed to quickly end Zeke before his next devastating move would be to scream. Creating hundreds of titans from the now released prisoners littered throughout Shiganshina.
‘Sneak Attack’ continues the on-going battle for humanity on Paradis. With the Jaegerists fighting to allow Zeke and Eren reunite and go with their plan that is now up in the air. Some believing that its the demonstration of the Rumbling while other believing that there will be a euthanization of the Eldians. Armin full on believes and hopes that Eren will do the right thing since he’s the one to decide by demonstrating the Rumble. However, Mikasa, Jean and Connie are apprehensive about the idea but are willing to help. Yelena gave off an incredible surprised and delighted face that caused all four to recoil back after hearing Armin being in agreement with the cause. Finally, will the four make it in time to help Eren or will the plan continue to change in hopes of a better outcome? Things are getting intense as we’ll enter next episode.
